1. What Katib is
Katib is an AI-assisted clinical documentation tool. It transcribes recorded consultations and drafts structured clinical notes, transcripts, coding suggestions and patient summaries for review by a licensed clinician.
2. Katib is not a medical device
Katib does not diagnose, treat or make clinical decisions. All output is a draft. The treating clinician is solely responsible for reviewing, correcting and approving every note before clinical or billing use, and for all decisions regarding patient care. Coding suggestions must be verified against local requirements.
3. Pilot status
Katib is currently offered as a pilot product. During the pilot phase the service is provided on an as-is basis, without warranties of availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and should not be used as the sole record of a clinical encounter.
4. Your responsibilities
You confirm that you are a healthcare professional or acting on behalf of a healthcare organization, that you obtain any consent required by applicable law before recording a consultation, and that you do not upload recordings you are not authorized to process.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of your transcripts and notes. You can delete any consultation at any time, which permanently removes it. Audio recordings are processed in memory and are never stored by Katib. See the Privacy Policy for details on processing.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Katib to process data of patients who have not consented where consent is required, attempt to re-identify anonymized data, resell the service, or probe or disrupt its infrastructure.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katib's liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Katib is not liable for clinical outcomes, coding or billing decisions based on its drafts.
